We’re on the lookout for a superstar engineer to join VOYA Games a Backend/Blockchain/DevOps Engineer in Berlin, Germany. Our CEO, Oliver Löffler, has an impressive history in the gaming world, having co-founded Kolibri Games, a successful gaming company that was later acquired by Ubisoft.

🧑‍💻 Key Responsibilities

• Software Development
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications, ensuring robust functionality and scalability.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that aligns with industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to deliver cutting-edge software solutions.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of code to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Technical Leadership
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior software engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Lead code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in software development technologies and methodologies, and proactively integrate them into the team's workflow.
  • Contribute to the architectural decisions and design reviews, ensuring the scalability and maintainability of software solutions.
• Project Management
  • Participate in project planning and estimation, providing accurate timelines and resource requirements.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing development processes and enhancing team productivity.

✅ Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Software Engineer, with a strong portfolio of successfully delivered software projects.
• Strong understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Proficiency in DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD, containerization, and infrastructure as code.
• Basic understanding of blockchain technologies and their applications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Passion for technology and a commitment to staying current with industry trends and advancements.

• Advanced experience working with blockchain technologies.
• Familiarity with AWS and cloud-based deployment.
• Knowledge of Unity and C# for game development.
