We’re hiring a Senior Software Engineer at VOYA Games in Berlin. You’ll own and build systems that power *Craft World -* a resource management mobile game live on App Store, Play Store, and Web. Since its July 2025 launch, over 500,000 players have joined through organic growth. Your work will shape and scale our platform as we grow toward millions of players and creators worldwide.

We believe we are on a good track. We recently received Best Use of Blockchain in a Mobile Game at Gamescom 2025.

Our team is made up of experienced entrepreneurs from the free-to-play gaming sector, avid gamers, and specialists in Blockchain technology. Our CEO, Oliver Löffler, has an impressive history in the gaming world, having co-founded Kolibri Games, a successful gaming company that was later acquired by Ubisoft.

🧑‍💻 Key Responsibilities

• Software Development
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications, ensuring robust functionality and scalability.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that aligns with industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of code to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Technical Leadership
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior software engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Lead code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in software development technologies and methodologies, and proactively integrate them into the team's workflow.
  • Contribute to the architectural decisions and design reviews, ensuring the scalability and maintainability of software solutions.
• Project Management
  • Drive planning, estimation, and delivery of features and infrastructure improvements.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing development processes and enhancing team productivity.

✅ Qualifications

• +5 years of professional software development experience with a record of shipped, production-scale systems
• Strong grasp of software architecture, design patterns, and performance optimization.
• Proficiency in a modern programming language (Typescript, C#, Go, Rust, or similar).
• Understanding of distributed systems, networking, or real-time applications.
• Working knowledge of blockchain concepts and their technical implications.
• Clear communicator who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Curious, pragmatic, and focused on delivering measurable impact.

🎁 Bonus Qualifications

• Deep experience with blockchain integration or smart contracts.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, or other cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with Unity and C# for game client or tools development.
• Experience connecting games or apps to decentralized systems (wallets, dApps, or on-chain assets).
